Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain skills in working with a wide range of pupils.
Assist children individually to learn social skills
Assist with the preparation of teaching materials , copying and collating written or printed material
prepare indoor or outdoor areas for learning and recreational use.
Undertake specific tasks with individual students under the guidance of teacher or staff member.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students undertaking an opportunity at WPS would be expected to assist teachers and support staff with a wide range of tasks including working in small groups of students to help with tasks such as art, drama, music or sport. Library assistance is also required. Setting up for events, science projects and reading programs would be part of the role.

Able to accept direction and supervision
No phone use during class.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual clothes. Flat and enclosed shoes. No tracksuits, singlet tops etc. Remember no phone use during class.

Special Transport Requirements

Make own way to Jamieson Street.
