In this work placement role as a MECHANICAL FITTER/ENGINEERING you will work within the Planning and Development Division alongside graduate engineers who are responsible for designing, constructing and managing capital works projects. You will be working with one of the Wimmera's most respected organisations to provide and manage our vital water resource.
This opportunity would suit students with an interest in plumbing, electrotechnology or engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, Chemical) .

Typical Tasks & Duties
Observe and support qualified professionals in the office and at job sites.
Discuss and resolve issues regarding water supply, quality and management.
Visit key sites across the network to observe and complete maintenance and repairs under supervision
Attend and observe meetings with stakeholders and discuss relevant policy and procedures regarding local water management issues.
Student Requirements
The position will suit students who are studying a VET trade, have good mechanical knowledge and an interest in the environment and water resource management.

Steel capped shoes, durable workwear.
Special Transport Requirements
No specific transport arrangements available. Students must organise their own transport, to and from the workplace.
