Students may have the opportunity to attain a broad range of skills while on work placement. These may include valuable general employability skills such as: - Communication - Teamwork - Problem solving - Initiative and enterprise - Planning and organising - Self-management - Learning - Technology Students may also attain vital industry specific skills which will relate to their studies such as: - Hands-on practical experience - Observing and learning from industry qualified and experienced professionals - Working in real-life scenarios and environments - Working with tools and equipment necessary to the occupation and business - Liaising and working with colleagues, bosses, customers/clients and suppliers.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Student will be assisting the trained mechanics in the servicing of vehicles with hands on participation in mechanical repairs and services. The student will participate in various facets of a busy automotive workshop, including cleaning of the workshop, dissembling of car parts and assisting the team with a wide variety of duties.

Student Requirements

Students must be willing to learn and keen to work in an automotive business. The students need to be well presented with the ability to work in a clean and ordered manner

Protective clothing, safety footwear, clean neat & tidy appearance

Special Transport Requirements

Students to arrange own transport
