## MECHANICS ASSISTANT/TYRE FITTER - AUTOMOTIVE WORK PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY##
A great opportunity exists for a young student to explore an Automotive placement - fitting tyres and undertaking wheel alignments under the supervision of a Mechanic and Tyre Technicians at a busy Tyrepower workshop located in Echuca.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students would undertake tasks such as:
- learning to fit tyres
- taking wheels off vehicles and putting them back on
- learning to repair tyres
- tyre sizing
- mechanics and fundamentals of conducting a wheel alignment

Student Requirements

Once a student ‘shares an opportunity’ with Teacher, then the company would prefer a Teacher to make contact to advise a student will be calling to organise an interview – please ask for Peter - Owner or James - Manager.
 Student organises interview
 Attends interview, advised of role, key aspects they need to be aware of
 If appropriate, dates identified and Structured work placement lock in for 10 week period over a School Term, incorporating 10 days; rotated within tyre fitting and with Mechanic undertaking and assisting with wheel alignments.

Dress Requirements

Students must adhere to the following dress requirements:
 Steel cap boots
 Long pants (jeans okay)
 Polo shirt
would prefer if student supplied own overalls

Special Transport Requirements

Echuca - VLINE (refer to website for transport details to Echuca). Tyrepower not far from Train Station.
