This placement is in a bright and modern retail outlet. There is also a technical repair workspace. The business focus is in IT, phone systems and related retail items and equipment. Students will experience valuable learning outcomes in each of the main areas. Staff are friendly and very supportive of the SWL program.

Skills You Might Learn

Students may attain vital industry specific skills such as hands-on experience, working as part of a team and experiencing working with equipment necessary to the occupation.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Student will spend time in retail, technical support and in office administration. They will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. This means assisting other employees in their roles. Some interaction with customers may also also be part of their duties.

Student Requirements

The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place.

Special Transport Requirements

Transport Students may need to organise their own transport to work but there is a town bus service..
