This is a sole trader engineering business. It has been operating for many years. The workplace is well set out and very neatly maintained. Ian is keen to help a motivated young person to learn engineering skills.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials. They will use hand tools to assist in a job.

Typical Tasks & Duties

. Students will carry out tidying of the workplace and basic maintainance of engineering tools and equipment. They will work out on project sites, as well as in the workshop. Students will assist the employer in the various roles he has as an engineer.

Student Requirements

Students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VM VET course.

Dress Requirements

Dress must be neat casual suited to the workplace and this includes sturdy work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students make their own way to work as there is no public transport.
