Childcare centres offer a quality childcare option for parents living, working or studying in the Shire of Campaspe.
The Childcare centres are registered with the Department Education and accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council and cater for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Childcare programs are responsive to the diversity of cultures in Australia and provide opportunities for all children and families to gain knowledge and understanding of various cultures.
Students are provided with support and development opportunities

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist childcare centre staff members in completing tasks such as:
• Assist with preparation of program materials and activities
• General childcare duties including cleaning of centre
• Assist with food preparation and clean up
• Observation and participation in age based ‘room’ activities
• Observation and participation in early literacy programs
• Observation and participation in cultural diversity programs
• At no time will a student be expected to clean body fluids or provide personal care
• At no time will students be required to have unsupervised access to children
