Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will assist with providing general care to residents within the facility to maintain independence, dignity, a homelike environment and a person-centered care approach with the following daily tasks:
* care of residents
* grooming
* assisting at meals
* companionship
* accompanying residents on outings
Student Requirements
Students must have an interest in a career in the Aged Care Industry. You will be required to contact the manager, Linda Huntington, to arrange a face-to-face interview prior to undertaking this placement.
In this workplace, you will be punctual, keen and willing to learn, able to take direction, and have good communication skills. You will treat the residents in an empathetic, respectful, polite and kind manner, understanding that you are in their home.
Dress Requirements
Black pants, blue or white shirt and closed toe shoes. Clean, neat and tidy appearance - hair combed, long hair tied back.
