Student will be given a fantastic opportunity to see what it takes to be a boiler and a welder.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will have the opportunity to experience the following, using hand tools to assist in a job, assist employees as they perform manual and mechanical cutting and applying basic fabrication techniques.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students in the position will assist workers in a range of tasks to complete basic fabrication techniques. They may tidy work sites and assist staff in the production of basic engineering components. The student will be required to be an active participant in all work place practices.

Student Requirements

The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to organise their own transport to work as there is no public transport in Ultima Road.
