ERNTEC Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company with a close-knit team of qualified and experienced staff in a purpose-built workshop in Scoresby. ERNTEC use state-of-the-art machinery to deliver high-precision metalwork for custom made enclosures for their long list of clients in the electrical and electronic industries.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain valuable experience in the electronic manufacturing industry and work alongside experienced staff. Students will have opportunities to identify and assist with assembling cabinets. Have a better understanding of the processes involved with manufacturing and equipment.
Students will participate in OHS processes and effective work practices.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Depending on the ability of the student, here are some of the tasks the student may experience.
Engineering – Fabrication (manufacturing)
This includes: Drilling and Tapping, Assembly of LOD’s (Low Ohmic Distribution Module – designed for telecommunications), Minor electrical assembly, Assembly of enclosures, Using drills, spanners and general tools.
Powdercoat area: Hanging small panels to be painted, Taking small panels off hanging trolleys:
Despatch: Packing goods
Routing
Sales interest - Micro-drive systems (we on-sell these motors)
This includes: DC motors, Brushless motors, Gearheads, Encoders, Precision ball screws, Linear bearings, Mechatronic solutions, Couplings & Customised solutions

Dress Requirements
Students should ensure that they wear leather steel-capped work boots and Navy work gear.
PPE will be supplied by employer.
