Bradlington Photography is a sole operated business offering services in the following areas - - Pre-School Photography, Family and Pets, Engagements, Weddings and Christenings, Photo Booth Events, Corporate Events and Private Functions. This Placement is based at Hallam Community Centre.

Skills You Might Learn

Students may have the opportunity to gain a wide range of skills while working on placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from an experienced professional. An understanding of what is required to get that perfect photo will provide you the opportunity to develop and build on your teamwork, problem solving and communication skills. This is a hands-on placement, you will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge and experience using the equipment and develop knowledge of what is required to work as a photographer.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This Placement is based on Hallam Community Learning Centre 3 Y/O Kindergarten. The student will get a glimpse into the world of children’s photography in a fast-paced environment. The role is primarily that of an assistant to the photographer but could have the opportunity to shoot images on the job also, if comfortable and confident. The applicant would have to love children and have a natural rapport with them, be well groomed and ready to think on their feet. Anyone interested in this as a block placement will learn how to liaise with staff and children in a professional environment, use camera settings in manual mode, control lighting, understand composition and work as a team, along with other processes involved with the workflow. Photography is a challenging but rewarding industry with many opportunities. Future employment and other work contacts will be a definite outcome for the right person

Student Requirements

To gain the best of this experience you will need a friendly and bubbly personality, be a good communicator, self-motivated with good time management skills, work well in a team, with a keen interest in Photography. ** This placement is based at the Hallam Community Centre ***There may be the opportunity to participate in the post process. This work is done offsite in the employer’s home, it would need to be approved by parents and school. Along with signed permission, the student may also require a travel form if travelling with employer.
