Leisure Employment Australia is excited to announce that SWL opportunities in the digital marketing space are available in their Essendon office These SWL's are ideal for students seeking to be part of Leisure Employment Australia's School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program (SBAT) for 2020.
The program is specifically designed around the interests of Year 11 and Year 12 students who are eager to begin their career pathway in the business and digital marketing world.
Trainees are highly valued members of the LEA family and are offered ongoing support and connection throughout the program, including regular reviews, social outings and award nights.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain knowledge and skills of business and digital marketing through the combination of classroom attendance, study and their employment. This is an outstanding opportunity for students to gain a qualification whilst being employed and create a real pathway into the Leisure and / or digital media / marketing industries.
Typical Tasks & Duties
As part of your traineeship you will be involved in a range of activities including the creating and adapting content for digital media across the company. Students will commit to a weekly study day where you will work towards attaining a Certificate III in Business, with a special emphasis on the digital marketing stream. The work you undertake will be varied and allow you to develop you experience and interest in a range of areas across digital media, website skills in WordPress will be built upon as part of this placement.
No day will be the same however activities may include; assistance with database management and backend programming, UX design and improving digital interfaces, creating & maintaining content for social media, tagging and managing digital content, basic graphic design to adapt print media to digital platforms, editing and manipulations of digital graphics, establishing and maintaining integrations across multiple systems.
To be considered for this vacancy, the employer is looking for students that are enthusiastic and passionate about joining a fast-paced and energetic marketing team. They are also looking for creative-minded individuals who have an interest and confidence with computers. Students are ideally in Year 11 looking for a SBAT opportunity in Year 12.

The work location is in Essendon and is extremely close to public transport.
