J & S Electricals is offering SWL placements which would be suited to Electro-technology students. Placements will provide students with an excellent opportunity to make important contacts in the industry and may lead to possible further placements and / or employment opportunities.

Skills You Might Learn

In the areas of safety management, workplace OH&S, general warehousing principles and processes, customer service, receiving and dispatching goods, data entry, and managing basic financial transactions and documents.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Unloading goods and checking them against order forms. Cataloging and labeling items with storage details. Placing goods in bins and or racks. Completing orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists. Answering phones and providing customer servic.

Student Requirements

Courteous, punctual & reliable. Need to be positive and enthusiastic.

Dress Requirements

Enclosed shoes. Appropriate clothing for working in a warehouse.

Special Transport Requirements

Bus services available.
