Skills You Might Learn
Understand One-to-One and/or Group fitness sessions. Motivate and challenge the client . Communicate clearly, review exercise plans monitor progress and be organised . Being prepared for client sessions. Provide customer service. You will gain a great understanding of the industry.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Your main function will be on the gym floor with a focus on customer service. Students will assist staff to help both members and casual visitors. You will cater for people of all ages and all levels of fitness. Students will assist staff with programs including aquatic programs. You will be on the gym floor in the health club with a great range of equipment; An aerobics room used for fitness classes. A women's only gym as well as unisex facilities. ,Students will be required to provide customer service , setting up and packing up of rooms.
Student Requirements
There are to be NO MOBILE PHONES used during this placement. It is vital that you are punctual and reliable. No chewing gum please.
Dress Requirements
Students are required to wear runners and black workout pants along with a school polo or similar. Hair is to be neat and tidy at all times.
Special Transport Requirements
Public transport available to placement.
