From a basic wash to a blow dry, we can do it all. Our Services Include: Blow drying, combing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, deodorising, dog clipping, a range of natural dog treats and retail merchandise , flea treatment, pick up and drop off to local area.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will learn husbandry, health and well being of dogs, the regulations that guide Pet shop owners, how to maintain a clean environment for the animals, and to work with in a team, and the importance of customer service.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be expected to assist staff with dog grooming, cleaning and and handling all stock in the store. Assisting customers with their inquiries will be part of the placement. Competent handling of dogs of all types is essential.

Student Requirements

The student will need to have good interpersonal skills and the desire to work extensively with different types of animals.The ability to work with and manage small animals, birds, reptiles, plus domestic animals such as cats and dogs is necessary.

Dress Requirements

Neat and tidy dress is required but clothing suitable for a wet environment.

Special Transport Requirements

No special transport needs. The student will make their own way too and from the placement.
