This is a Music Industry Placement.
The FReeZA program is an innovative youth development program that provides opportunities for young Victorians aged 12-25 across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria to enjoy live band gigs, dance parties and other cultural, recreational and artistic events that are drug, alcohol and smoke-free in supervised and safe venues.
This exciting opportunity is with Cardinia Shire Youth Services, it will provide insight and experience working with the team on the upcoming Battle of the Bands Event.
Skills You Might Learn
The student will gain experience and skills in the planning and development of an upcoming event. The student's participation will develop thier skills in teamwork, leadership, networking with stakeholders, facilitation of meetings, marketing and budgeting.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will receive insight and knowledge relating to community events, administration skills, venue operations, youth planning and development of meetings, networking and leadership skills. Duties will include planning for youth events and programs,. Participation in Wednesday Freeza meetings is a vital part of this placement.
Must have a keen interest in events management in the music industry. if you enjoy working as part of the team, self motivated, good communicator this placement is for you.
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place or if working in the event students are required to wear closed toe shoes.
