Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD) Inc is an Australian charity that exists to change young lives through music. MMAD uses the power of music, dance & mentoring to inspire young people to make their lives remarkable. With a strong focus on supporting youth through various dance and music programs, this is a fantastic place to gain dance/teaching experience with highly skilled staff.

Skills You Might Learn

Planning and developing routines which will mostly be Bollywood and hip hop routines. You will learn quality teaching techniques from dance professionals, good communication and all aspects of engaging in a community centred dance class. Assisting with set up and pack down, some social media/marketing will be involved as well.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Supporting the dance teacher on a Wednesday afternoon from 2.00 - 6.00pm . Helping set up and pack down and assisting the dance teacher with all facets of the class. There will be some social media and marketing included prior to the start of the class.

Student Requirements

A WWCC will be required and a copy of the volunteer form to be taken to interview (this can be found on the MADD website) Students will need to be comfortable in a community setting with other young people.
