Rokk Ebony Rowville is now looking to host enthusiastic hairdressing students for their SWL placement. This is a rare opportunity for a school-aged young person to gain valuable, industry-leading experience whilst completing their Certificate II in Hairdressing. After placement is completed, rokk ebony may have further training or employment opportunities for suitable students.

Skills You Might Learn

Students may have the chance to develop skills in greeting clients, customer service, maintaining tools and equipment, communicating effectively, performing basic basin services, applying salon safety procedures and developing hairdressing industry knowledge.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Tasks undertaken by students during this Structured Workplace Learning placement may include: basin services; maintaining the salon; greeting clients; assisting salon staff; observing industry experts. There may also be the potential for some students to be a part of running hair shows and competitions.

Student Requirements

Students must self-motivated, hard-working, and passionate about this industry. Great opportunities exist for students who demonstrate the right attitude and enthusiasm.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual. Students to wear closed-toe shoes. Presentation is important in this industry.

Special Transport Requirements

This location is best reached by bus or car.
