This busy travel/tourism service provider is offering motivated students a unique SWL opportunity. Based in Belgrave, this is a chance for students to gain experience at a business offering retail, wholesale, corporate, inbound and tour operating businesses in Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Asia and around the world. The employer requests that students either be studying Tourism or that they be very interested in this industry.
Skills You Might Learn
Students undertaking an SWL at this employer will be able to learn about the travel and tourism industry, seeing first-hand what work in the industry involves. Skills that student will be able to further refine include communication, organisation, making bookings and developing a stronger international perspective.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will be involved in most aspects of the business, including filing, ordering brochures, assisting consultants, answering phones and customer service. Students will also observe and be mentored by industry professionals.
Students must either be studying Tourism or be very interested in this industry. Punctuality is important. See Dress Requirements for further information.
Neat casual / business attire. Students to wear closed-toe shoes. School uniform can also be worn.
