Students may have the opportunity to attain a broad range of skills while on work placement. These may include valuable general employability skills such as: - Communication - Teamwork - Problem solving - Initiative and enterprise - Planning and organising - Self-management - Learning - Technology Students may also attain vital industry specific skills which will relate to their studies such as: - Hands-on practical experience - Observing and learning from industry qualified and experienced professionals - Working in real-life scenarios and environments - Working with tools and equipment necessary to the occupation and business - Liaising and working with colleagues, bosses, customers/clients and suppliers.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Typically tasks and duties include but not limited to, time keeping, raking the long jump pit, manning the high jump station and assisting with any other athletics stations where required. Assisting a teacher facilitating a group of students, setting up and packing down of equipment and other general tasks requested by Kate.
Students can be studying sport and recreation to consume this placement or VCAL if volunteer hours are required. Please ensure a lunch and drink bottle are packed for the days event or McDonalds is near by. Sunscreen will be provided. Students must be willing to be outside standing on their feet all day and have a strong work ethic.
Students are required to wear sneaker, sports clothes and a hat, sunscreen will be provided.
