Typical Tasks & Duties

Typical tasks and duties may include but not limited to; preparing for a class, writing workouts on the whiteboard, preparing equipment ready to demonstrate all movements, able to learn and/or demonstrate some movements, meeting and greeting members, shadowing Head Coach as he moves around the gym, staying by his side at all times to learn about what he’s doing, help put equipment away after workout and engage in general chit chat with members after class.

Student Requirements

To consume this opportunity the student must be studying Sport and Recreation as part of the vocational studies. The student must be aware that the placement hours will be out of normal business hours, have a reasonable level of fitness and be willing to participate in a Crossfit class through their placement hours. they must have a genuine interest in helping people because this role is not just about telling someone how to do a push up, its about getting to know members, being very friendly, not shy, showing empathy and dealing with a diverse range of physical abilities, ages, and personalities.

Dress Requirements

The student should wear exercise clothes, and specific exercise footwear.
