If you'd like to know more about what the role might entail, consider a short placement during Term 4 of 2017 to help raise your awareness and start building your skills.

Skills You Might Learn

In alignment with your training, you will develop skills in using databases to maintain information, creating and managing documents and files, workplace health and safety, using various office equipment (manual tools through to smart technologies). Relevant to every workplace are skills such as time management, problem solving, communication, attention to detail, customer service, etc.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Wide range of roles including Reception (greeting clients, distributing mail, etc.) and Admin Assistant (research, data entry, document management and disposal, set up / pack up for meetings, etc.). Successful candidates will start with basic tasks, then build to more complex and responsible duties as skills develop, and in alignment with training units.

Student Requirements

Best suited to students undertaking VCAL as student will be required two days per week (one in training, one in workplace).

Dress Requirements

Smart, office attire, discreet jewellery, to be discussed at interview.

Special Transport Requirements

Main office within short walk of train and bus access.
