BridgeAus Migration Consultancy

This is a Business Studies or Administration opportunity situated in Melton South's Western BACE. BridgeAus is a young and dynamic business providing an excellent insight into what a migration agent does and working in a business environment. As there is no public transport to the business office, the owner is prepared to pick up a student from the Caroline Springs area and drop them off at the end of the day. The Western BACE is an excellent venue to meet a variety of small business owners and build your networks.

Skills You Might Learn

At BridgeAus Migration Consultancy, Business students will be able to develop their office management skills, preparing essential paperwork and collating relevant information for migration purposes. Students will be able to gain experience and confidence working with government requirements in a multicultural environment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

A migration agent provides overseas clients with migration services such as applying for work or study visas. The SWL student will be required to assist the agent with paperwork that needs to be scanned and collated for each application. This will require organising and collating documents. Other typical tasks may include basic on-line research and simple organising of emails and on-line files.

Student Requirements

Students will be required to read English and able to sort and organise information according to a checklist. Students should also be comfortable using computers and basic Office applications. As with many business administration jobs, the student must follow confidentiality rules.

Dress Requirements

Dress requirements are Office attire. A smart casual look is fine.

Special Transport Requirements

There is NO public transport. Students would need to make their own way there unless they wish to arrange to be picked up in Caroline Springs by the employers. A transport arrangement form should be completed if this is the case.
