A vibrant, community-run radio station based in Emerald is offering a range of SWL opportunities for students who are passionate about / studying in a related field (i.e. media, audio, broadcasting, communication.) Working as part of a small team, this experience will offer plenty of flexibility for students to further develop areas of interest.

Skills You Might Learn

Operating professional audio equipment; content production; editing; presenting; interviewing; preparation for radio programs

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will gain exposure to Production techniques (recording, editing, script writing), Presenting (on air, pre-recording), sound engineering (live to air and post-production), as well as being involved in the planning, logistics and communication elements of community radio work.

Student Requirements

To be eligible for work experience at 3MDR you must live or go to school in the Mountain District area
